Dear Bell Middle School Community,
It is with gratitude and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Bell Middle School.
My name is Tamara Muhammad, and I am deeply honored to serve this school community. I come to Bell with over 25 years of experience in education and more importantly a heart for service, a passion for equity, and a commitment to creating spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Most recently, I served as the leader of Franklin Elementary STEAM Magnet, where I had the privilege of working alongside incredible educators, students, and families to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence. Over the years, I have dedicated my work to building strong relationships, promoting student-centered learning, and ensuring that all young people, especially those from systemically overlooked communities, have access to the opportunities they deserve.
When I think of Bell Middle School, one word comes to mind: possibilities. I see the potential for greatness in every classroom, in every hallway, and in every young scholar who walks through our doors. Together, with our students, families, staff, and community partners I believe we can nurture a learning environment where brilliance is cultivated, dreams are nurtured, and leadership is developed.
